Position

Start in a plank position with your hands close together, forming a diamond shape directly under your chest. Keep your body in a straight line from head to heels.

Movement

  • Lower your body towards the floor by bending your elbows, keeping them close to your sides and your core engaged.
  • Press back up to the starting position by extending your arms, keeping your body in a straight line throughout the movement.

Breathing

Inhale as you lower your body and exhale as you press back up.

Tips

  • Keep your core engaged and your back straight throughout the movement to maintain proper form.
  • Avoid arching your back or sagging your hips during the exercise, as this can strain the lower back and reduce the effectiveness of the movement.
  • Adjust the width of your hands to increase or decrease the difficulty of the exercise, starting with a wider hand position for less resistance and gradually progressing to a closer hand position as you build strength.
