Legend answers

How do I know when to increase the weight or reps I’m lifting?

How can I see if I'm lifting more weight or doing more reps than last time?

How can I achieve progressive overload to stimulate muscle growth and strength?

Progressive Overload Assistance

Progressive overload is the gradual increase of stress placed upon the body during exercise training. This is the key to muscle growth and strength gains. Legend has a number of features and tools to help you progressively overload as you train.

Progressive Overload Assistance

The exercise performance screen gives you a complete view of your current and historic exercise performance, including:

  • Gains as a percentage since the last workout
  • Your strength level progression based on other people in your body weight and age group
  • Maximum reps: The maximum number of reps you've done for an exercise
  • Maximum weight: The maximum weight you've lifted for an exercise, with it's associated reps
  • Reps & weight history: A graph showing your reps and weight history for an exercise
  • Last time done: The sets, reps, and weight you did the last time you performed the exercise
  • Last 3 times done: A summary of the last 3 times you performed the exercise

All this information is designed to help you pick the right weight and reps for your next set, and to help you progressively overload over time.
